Yasin
Beceni is the managing partner of BTS&Partners. He advises clients on a
wide range of commercial transactions including outsourcing agreements and
other procurement arrangements as well as advising generally on contentious,
non-contentious and transactional information and communication technologies
and intellectual property law issues including information security,
investments, regulatory compliance, privacy- data protection, new products and
services, digital media, payment services, e-commerce.
He
also has significant experience on information society issues at a national and
European Union level more than 20 years and advising on legal-regulatory risk
analysis, product and services deployment and development in Turkish market,
regulatory compliance and market entry strategy for large multinationals,
engagement strategies with governmental, academic and non-governmental
institutions. He advises clients in drafting and negotiating large
infrastructure, project and services contracts, joint venture/company
agreements as well as agreements relating to acquisition of significant stakes
in telecom and tech companies. Mr. Yasin Beceni's clients include various
Fortune 500 companies, big tech companies, NGO's, Turkish large business
conglomerates, telecommunications companies, media companies, financial
institutions, software and hardware suppliers and other large multinational
companies.
Mr.
Beceni is actively involved in conferences, trainings, congresses,
publications, seminars, councils, panels,
legislative commissions, workshops, and strategy workgroups, within his expertise areas. Mr. Beceni
actively renders consultancy services to various leading NGOs and academic
institutions in technology and legal related matters. Within his contributions
to the efforts in relation to shape up the information society legal
infrastructure in Turkey; he has been contributing in many regulatory/policy
making initiations/efforts. In this regard he was elected as a member of
Ministry of Justice E-Commerce Draft
Code Scientific Commission, Data Protection Draft Code Scientific Commission and New Turkish Commercial Draft Code Scientific
Commission. He is the chief legal advisor of TUBISAD (Turkish Informatics
Industry Association) and executive-execution board member of TBV (Turkish
Informatics Foundation). He is also a member of several national and international prestigious NGO’s and
elected the committee member of these
organizations such as; Turkish Industry and Business Association
(TÜSİAD) Information Society,
Information-Communication Technologies & Innovation Committee; ABFT (American Business Forum in Turkey);
Communication Committee of Turkish National
Commission for UNESCO.
Mr.
Beceni is also a part-time lecturer at Istanbul Bilgi University and Sabancı
University. He gives a course entitled Information and Communication Law
Policies and Strategies in ICT Law LL.M. Program at Istanbul Bilgi
University and gives a course entitled Legal Aspects of Data Driven Economy
and Legal Ethics in Data Analytics Master Program at Sabancı University. He
also contributes academic works around the world at the leading academic
institutions as a visiting lecturer.
